It wasn't really time travel but it was close the day I explored the Yacht Harbor in Corpus Christi, Texas. The multi-switchbacked ramp from the street to the piers looked formidable but was actually very well done and hardly strain at all.
Seeing this reconstruction of Christopher Columbus' Nina made it worth the trip!
Right across the street is the Omni Hotel but, as far as I could tell, the Motel 8 should also have nice views of the harbor.
